Cory Lehano of Mauliola Pharmacy Honored as Young Small Business Person of the Year at Mayor’s Small Business Awards

Wailuku, Maui, HI — The Maui Chamber of Commerce and the County of Maui recognized Cory Lehano, PharmD, CDCES, CEO and Owner of Mauliola Pharmacy, as the 2025 Young Small Businessperson of the Year at the Mayor’s Small Business Awards ceremony held on September 18, 2025, at the King Kamehameha Golf Club in Waikapū.

 

This annual event celebrates small businesses across Maui County that demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, community service, and the aloha spirit. The Young Small Businessperson of the Year category honors leaders under 40 who are making a significant impact in their industries and communities.

 

Lehano, founder of Mauliola Pharmacy and Executive Director of Nohona Health, was recognized for his vision in blending modern pharmacy services with Native Hawaiian values and healing traditions. Under his leadership, Mauliola Pharmacy has become known not only for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care but also for its role in supporting Maui during times of crisis, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2023 wildfires. “This award is really a reflection of my entire team and the community that supports us,” said Lehano. “Mauliola Pharmacy is more than a pharmacy — it’s a partner in health, resilience, and aloha. I am humbled to be recognized alongside so many inspiring small business leaders on Maui.”

 

Lehano also extended his gratitude to the Maui Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Richard Bissen, and Central Pacific Bank’s Devin Vinoray and Royce Fukuroku, who nominated him for the award.

 

The Mayor’s Small Business Awards are presented annually by the Maui Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the County of Maui Office of Economic Development.
